Dozen trapped as 21-storey building collapses in Lagos
Many people are feared trapped as a 21-storey building, which is under construction, collapsed on Gerald Road, Ikoyi area of Lagos.
Rescue officials from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the state’s ambulance, the fire services, among others are currently on ground.
The Director-General, LASEMA, Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, said emergency response plan was swiftly activated following the distress call.
