Some gunmen suspected to be members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have made a vow that they will kill more lawmakers in Anambra State.
The Informant247 recall that some gunmen suspected to be members of IPOB killed the member representing Aguata II Constituency in the state house of assembly, Okechukwu Okoye.
The group dished out the threat in a note which was allegedly found where the head of the victim was dumped.
A source who sighted the note said, “The letter is not too clear due to raindrops, but it started with the word ‘warning’.
“At some point, it reads ‘everywhere you go, you cannot hide anywhere. We will go after you one by one because soldiers and police is (sic) no longer our problem.”
Nothing less than four local government headquarters in the state and several police stations had been attacked and burnt.
The Informant247 had reported that the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo, has announced the reward of N10m for anyone who has useful information to the whereabouts of the perpetrators of the legislator’s death.
The head of the legislator was found on Saturday at Nnobi in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
