De Bruyne, Laporte left out of Man City champions league squad

Kevin De Bruyne has been left out of Manchester City’s squad to play RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Apart from De Bruyne, Aymeric Laporte will also not be in action when the Citizens face the German side on Wednesday.

Expectedly, John Stones is also absent from the group, although he has been missing since January with a hamstring injury.

As at the time of filing this report, there has been no explanation for De Bruyne and Laporte not travelling to Germany but update might be given by Pep Guardiola who is due to meet the media later on Tuesday.

Both De Bruyne and Laporte were in the City’s Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest.

While De Bruyne was substituted in the 88th minute, Laporte completed the match where Chris Wood’s strike saw Guardiola’s side dropping important points in their quest to hold on to the top table.
