COVID-19: NYSC shuts down orientation camps

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC on Wednesday, instructed corps members currently in orientation camps nationwide to vacate the camps over fear of coronavirus spread.

Three cases of the virus, which World Health Organization now declared a pandemic, have been confirmed in the country, with no record of death yet.

Our correspondent gathered that the corps members were told this morning to leave their respective camps immediately after receiving their letters to their places of primary assignment and transport allowance.

The corps members have stayed 1 week and 2 days in the orientation camp usually supposed to last for 21 days.
