Court remands 4 suspects for alleged cultism in Kwara
An Ilorin magistrate court has remanded in prison custody four persons for their alleged involvement in cult and robbery activities.
The suspected cultists, Suleiman Babatunde, Ibrahim Alabi, Ibrahim Shittu and Muftau Attanda were reportedly arrested at their various hideouts within Ilorin metropolis.
Police investigation revealed that the suspected cultists were in 2019 arrested, charged to court and released on bail for the same offences.
The report stated that investigation is still ongoing over there matter to also establish their involvement in the death of Usman Yusuf, Kareem AbdulGaniyu among others.
Magistrate Oluwatosin Adeniyi, who presided over the matter, however remanded the suspected cultists after listening to the submission of the prosecutor, Moshood Agboola, while the matter was adjourned to January 11, 2021.
