Court convict another 40 lockdown violators in Ilorin

No fewer than 40 lockdown violators have been convicted by Kwara State Magistrate Courts sitting in Ilorin.

The violators — according to the judgements handed down by Chief Magistrate Bio Saliu, Magistrate AA Badmus, Magistrate Muhammed Ndakele among others — are to carry out community service within Ilorin metropolis or pay fines ranging from ten thousand to fifteen thousand five hundred naira.

THE INFORMANT247 gathered that those sentenced to community service are to sweep different public places like Michael-Imodu Main Gate to Express-Road, Moraba market to Government Secondary school roundabout among others.

Other punishments were to be determined by prison wardens who were saddled with the responsibilities of supervising the stay-at-home government order’s violators.

Those prosecuted are; Mba Melitus, David Bawa, Ayantoro Israel, Omotosho Farook, Agboola Adebayo, Musa Mohammed, Adetoro Abdullahi, Sunny Aba, Dauda Iyanda, Boniface Ogbodo, Baba Alabi, Abdulrasaq Karumudeen, Issa Kamaldeen, Oyinloye Taofeek, Kolode Fatai, Michael Awuwudu, Jamiu Ayinla among others.
