The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development in Kwara State, Hajiya Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, reaffirmed Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s commitment to providing quality education during her recent inspection of several school projects across the state.
The inspection, according to the commissioner, aimed to evaluate the progress of infrastructure development and to ensure the effective implementation of educational programs.
Commissioner Modibbo Kawu’s tour included visits to schools such as Isale Maliki LGEA in Ilorin East Local Government, Eruda LGEA in Ilorin West LG, Abata Shubanul Secondary School in Ilorin West, St Michael Primary School in Ilorin South, Ago Oja Secondary School in Asa LG, and Gaa Odota Secondary School in Ilorin West.
The Commissioner said that the visits were part of Governor AbdulRazaq‘s broader effort to uplift the educational landscape in Kwara.
Apart from inspecting classrooms, Commissioner Modibbo Kawu also assessed ongoing infrastructure projects such as classroom renovations and the refurbishment of hostels for boys and girls at the School of Special Needs in Oyun, Ilorin LG.
She noted that the examination underlines the governor’s commitment to enhancing school facilities and creating a conducive learning environment for students.
During the visits, Commissioner Modibbo Kawu took time to interact with students, encouraging them to be diligent in their studies.
She also assured them of the government’s ongoing support for education.
The commissioner highlighted Governor AbdulRazaq’s focus on educational quality and reiterated that the administration’s efforts aim to promote learning and improve infrastructure across the state.
Principals and headmasters expressed their gratitude to the governor for his steadfast dedication to improving school infrastructure and the introduction of the KwaraLearn program, which has revitalized the state’s educational framework.
The commissioner’s visit also involved evaluation of the service delivery of KwaraLearn across various schools, ensuring its effective service delivery and ongoing relevance to students and educators.
