Christmas: FG approves free train service nationwide effective from December 20

In commemoration of this year’s yuletide season, the Federal Government has approved free train service nationwide starting from December 20, 2024, to January 6, 2025.

Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, while disclosing this when speaking with State House correspondents at the end of the Council meeting, presided over by President Bola Tinubu at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja, said the decision was to help caution high transportation fee during this festive season.

The Information Minister said cabinet members will embark on recess from 18th December and resume on January 6, 2025.
