Chelsea has axed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from its Champions League.
The blues were only allowed to register a maximum of three new players for the knockout stages of the Champions League as they prepare to take on Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16, starting on February 15.
All the clubs are limited to a 25-man squad and Chelsea featured 24 players in the group stage matches, with only Jorginho who was part of them leaving the club in the January transfer window.
Customarily, Clubs had to inform UEFA of their desired squad changes by 11pm on Thursday, February 2.
While the former Dortmund striker will not have the opportunity to play against his former team, record-breaking signing Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix were all included in the squad.
However, Aubameyang who has been underwhelming is it included in the Premier league squad of the team.
