The National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS), National Headquarters has announced the suspension of the planned protest after having a resolution meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Technology.
According to the press release signed by the Association’s president Muftau Mubarak Shittu and other two members of the executive, the association wished to bring to the notice of their members the resolution of the meeting as contained in the letter sent by the Ministry.
The statement stated, “It is on this note that we urge all the ever-gallant comrades to remain calm as the earlier slated protest is hereby SUSPENDED. We do hope the Government shall fulfill all the agreements reached in the meeting.
“Conservatively, we reiterate our commitment to the course of ensuring that the rights of Kwara State students are adequately secured and our annual bursary accordingly paid.”
