Burkina Faso says Nigerian military plane forced to land for violating its airspace

The government of Burkina Faso has said a Nigerian military aircraft carrying 11 soldiers entered its airspace without authorization.

This was contained in an official statement signed by junta leader Assimi Goita.

The country said the Nigerian Air Force plane was compelled to land on Monday in Bobo Dioulasso due to an “in-flight emergency” while operating within Burkinabe airspace.
