Bullion van robbery: Police kill two suspects, recover weapons in Delta

Police officers of the Delta State Command killed two suspected armed robbers who launched an attack on a bullion van at the Otor-Owhe community in Isoko North Local Government Area.

Some of the armed robbers had reportedly shot some Policemen and took away their weapons.

This came as other members of the gang were able to run away from the scene.

The Police also regained from the suspected armed robbers, one English pistol, two (2) AK47 rifles and three rounds of live ammunition.

The suspects had a confrontational engagement with the Police in an open gunfire and two were neutralized.

Others ran away from the scene in their den in Udu Local Government Area.

The Police Command in the state under the leadership of CP Ari Muhammed Ali made a conformation of the report in a signed statement by its spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe.

He added that “Manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang is ongoing.”
