Buhari’s senate president, Lawan picks N100 million presidential forms, says it’s a call from Nigerians
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has made a declaration of intention to contest the 2023 presidential election under the platform of the ruling, All Progressives Congress, APC.
The SP declared his intention to contest the 2023 election, on Monday in Abuja while being handed the N100 million presidential forms by a supporters’ group, National Stability Project, led by Chief Sam Nkire.
The senate president said there have been many calls countrywide pressuring him to join the presidential race and that he’s ready to obey the clarion call.
“I want to commit myself to this call from all walks of life. This is not my journey. This is our journey because every hand must be on deck to take the country to the next level,” he said.
“I will play the games by the rule. I will not circumvent any rule. I will not go against our party rules.
“I place my trust fully in the Almighty God on this journey,” he added.
