Buhari attends Tinubu’s presidential rally in Lagos
President Muhammadu Buhari and Governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 were present at the final presidential campaign rally of the party which took place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos State.
The Informant247 recalls that the president in December 2022, vowed to campaign for the presidential candidate and other candidates of the APC with “full energy and conviction”.
The presidential campaign committee of the party in January, revealed that Buhari would be present at the party’s presidential rally in Lagos and 9 other states.
The states listed by the presidential campaign committee were Cross River, Adamawa, Imo, Katsina, Kwara, Yobe, Ogun, Katsina and Nasarawa.
Buhari on Sunday, February 19, 2023 in a video described the presidential candidate of his party, Tinubu as “reliable”.
“I am not a contestant in this election, but my party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has a candidate in the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. As I mentioned before, Tinubu is a true believer in Nigeria, who loves the people and the development of our country,” the President had said.
At the Lagos State mega rally were supporters of various candidates contesting on the platform of the party.
The President implored the people of Lagos State to come out in large numbers to cast their votes for presidential candidate of the party, Bola Tinubu and others contesting on the platform of the party.
