Buhari arrives in Spain
President Muhammadu Buhari has reached Madrid, the capital of Spain.
The Informant247 had reported that the Nigerian president was on a State visit to Spain, at the invitation of the Spanish President, Pedro Sanchez.
The President left the country on Tuesday afternoon through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, in Abuja, the country’s capital.
He landed at the Torrejon Airbase in Madrid at 10 p.m. (local time).
The Spanish government and the Nigerian Embassy in Spain welcomed the Nigerian president and his team.
This would be the president’s first visit to Spain since his emergence as president in 2015.
The Nigerian leader will be meeting with the Spanish Head of State, His Majesty King Felipe VI, and also the Nigerian community.
The visit will earn the two countries the opportunity to sign Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding to develop more the bilateral relations between them.
The President, who was accompanied by some ministers and other Nigerian government officials, is to return to the country on June 3.
