Breaking: Kwara United survive relegation after 1-0 victory over Nasarawa United

Kwara United has survived a drop from the NPFL after securing a 1-0 victory over Nasarawa United in the Matchday 17 of the NPFL played on Sunday at their adopted home ground of Akure Township Stadium.

Substitute Yahaya Ibrahim scored the lone goal that gave the Harmony boys the much needed three points to maintain their NPFL status.

Kwara United has had a turbulent season and poor run of form has seen them languishing in the lowest rung of the league table for most part of the abridged-league season.

Now with 17 points and placed 8th  on the log, the Harmony Boys will go into their last game of the season against Remo Stars.

Meanwhile, this result also confirms Nasarawa United (13 points and 9th on the log) relegation from the top flight league as their last league game against Bendel Insurance is now deemed inconsequential in their bid to survive the drop.
