Presidential aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal has given assurance to Nigerians that the events which led to the death of Miss Deborah Samuel in Sokoto state will not repeat itself again.
He said the drama and scenario that surrounded the issue should not be regarded as true representation of Sokoto people.
Informant247 had reported that one female student Samuel Deborah, was beaten, stoned and burnt to death by a mob over alleged blasphemy.
But Sokoto governor while speaking with delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), soliciting for their supports ahead of the forthcoming national convention on Saturday, said Sokoto state believed in one Nigeria and that his administration has really demonstrated it in all ramifications.
“We pray it doesn’t happen again”, he said while blaming the incident on the failure of the security system.
He said Nigerians should vote and support a modern President who is up to the task and not a President of 1984, emphasizing that the difference between the opposition PDP government and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is not obvious for all to see.
