Bayelsa guber poll: PDP’s Diri takes an early lead as INEC adjourns collation to 3 pm

The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced the adjournment of the results collation in the November 11 governorship election held in Bayelsa State.

The Informant247 gathered that the announcement was made after the collation of results from three of the eight local government areas in the state namely Kolokuma/Opokuma, Ogbia, and Yenegoa were announced.

However, the local government areas left to be announced are Brass, Ekeremor, Nembe, Sagbama, and Southern Ijaw.

Prof Faruq Kuta, the state Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Of Technology, Minna, while adjourning the exercise till 3 pm today, added that the results from the remaining local government areas are being expected.

In a result declared so far, Governor Duoye Diri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) took an early lead by winning all the three local governments collated so far.

Accredited voters: 36,955

Yenagoa LGA, Bayelsa State

Accredited voters: 54380

APC: 14 534

LP: 244

PDP: 37 777
