Bandits invade Sokoto communities, kill 15
No fewer than 15 persons were killed when gunmen invaded Goronyo and Illela councils of Sokoto State between Sunday night and yesterday morning.
Governor Aminu Tambuwal confirmed this shortly before presenting the state’s 2022 draft budget to members of the Sokoto State House of Assembly.
Giving some detail on the incident, he said 12 persons were killed in Illela and three in Goronyo.
The governor condoled with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the attacks, as well as people of the affected communities.
