Bandits attack Koro village, abduct 2

Suspected bandits in the early hours of Today invaded Koro village, under the Chikpan district of Patigi Local Government Area in Kwara State, and abducted two young boys belonging to the Rogun family.

According to a statement by the Community Media Correspondent for Koro, Saidu Mohammed Ndamadu (BMD), said that the victims are relatives of Mr. NDA Kano, a prominent member of the Rogun family. The sudden attack has left the peaceful community in shock and fear, as residents were reportedly caught unprepared.

Ndamadu stated that the armed men entered the village quietly before heading straight to the residence of the victims, where they forcefully whisked the boys away. While the exact motive behind the abduction remains unknown, locals link the incident to the growing cases of rural kidnappings and insecurity in the area.

As of the time of filing this report, the abductors have not established contact with the family. Meanwhile, local vigilante groups and concerned youths have begun combing surrounding areas in an attempt to trace the attackers.

Residents of Koro have called on security agencies and government authorities to act swiftly to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted boys and restore calm to the community.
