Nottingham Forest Coach Steve Cooper has hailed Taiwo Awoniyi for turning things around for the team.
The in-form Nigerian Super Eagles striker was again on the score sheet as his team played 1-1 with Crystal Palace on the final day of the English league.
The 25-year-old striker has scored six in his past four games and is the first Forest player to score in four straight Premier League games since Stan Collymore in 1995.
Cooper acknowledged his impacts on the team especially as Awoniyi scored important goals that ensure the team maintain their premier league status and escape relegation.
“You always want your number nine scoring goals. I’ve said before that we missed him a lot when he got injured and he missed three months. He was doing well just before that and so to get him back in the form he has shown has been excellent.” Said Cooper.
His goal against Palace was also his 10th of the campaign. The former Union Berlin striker and Nottingham forest will now be looking forward to next season
