The fall out of the divorce between Shakira and Gerard Pique has seen the former taking their two children, Milan and Shasha to celebrate their Christmas far away in Dubai desert.
It’s the first time the kids will be spending the dates away from their father.
“In the desert looking for serenity this Christmas,” Shakira wrote on her Instagram account to accompany an image in which she appears with her two children, while holding a trained bird in her right arm.
Shakira arrived in Dubai last Wednesday and is expected to stay until December 30, date agreed to deliver the children to their father to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
The Spanish footballer and Columbia singer reportedly met at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and went on to have two kids within their 12 year old relationship.
Milan, the first born is nine followed by Shasha, seven.
