A presidential media aide, Garba Shehu has said that his principal, President Muhammadu Buhari does not hold grudges toward any person.
Shehu affirmed that his boss has no issue with anyone, a few weeks to the inauguration of the president elect Senator Bola Tinubu.
He said the years of leadership of the Nigerian president have shown that he holds no grudges toward anyone.
As earlier reported by The Informant247, President Muhammadu Buhari has begged Nigerians whom he might have hurt while carrying out his official duties as the country’s president.
The Nigerian leader told those he might have offended to forgive him.
He made this revelation at the final Sallah homage led by the minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Mohammed Bello, at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President also commended the people of the country for overlooking his shortcomings since he’s been in office.
He said: “Having been a governor, minister, and the president twice, I think God has given me an incredible opportunity to serve as your president. And I thank God for that.
“So, please, whoever feels I have done wrong to them, we are all humans. There is no doubt I hurt some people and I wish you will pardon me. And those that think that I have hurt them so much, please, pardon me.”
Reacting to the manner president Buhari tendered his apology, Shehu said: “The president of Nigeria does not harbour ill will toward anyone. This is clearly demonstrated over the years by his actions.
“As we speak today, there is no politician in detention for things they have said against President Muhammadu Buhari.
“There is no journalist in detention for things they have written against President Buhari. He does not personally hold grudges against individuals.”
