Kwara decries low turnout at health facilities, commences statewide advocacy

The son of Reke village head in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State was on Monday shot dead by yet to be identified gunmen.

The gunmen invaded the Magaji of Reke’s compound overnight and shot the victim dead, according to a report by DAILY POST.

The attack took place at about 0200hours, throwing the community into panic, according to the spokesman of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, who spoke to DAILY POST in Ilorin on Monday.

Police officers from Afon Divisional Police headquarters have evacuated the corpse to the hospital for autopsy.

When contacted, the spokesman of the state police command, Dsp Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the development.

He said an investigation was ongoing to unravel the masterminds of the dastardly act and effect their arrest.
