APC road walk draws supporters from four Kwara Central LGAs

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the four local government areas in Kwara Central on Thursday took part in a road walk in Ilorin to mobilise support for the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The exercise was organised by Kwara Central Youths for Salihu Yakubu Danladi (KCY4SYD), Magaji Ngeri Ward, as part of efforts to engage residents and mobilise grassroots support for APC candidates.

The road walk attracted supporters from Ilorin West, Ilorin East, Ilorin South and Asa local government areas.

Participants converged before moving through major parts of Ilorin, with the procession passing through Oja-Oba and extending towards Surulere.

Carrying banners and displaying the forum’s insignia, the supporters expressed their support for the APC governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, and other candidates contesting under the party.

The organisers said the exercise was aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement, sensitising residents and creating awareness ahead of the 2027 elections.

KCY4SYD also expressed appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Danladi, members of the National Assembly representing Kwara Central, members of the Kwara State House of Assembly, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Sai Kayi, and other party stakeholders.

The group credited the stakeholders with supporting APC activities and grassroots mobilisation across the state.

The exercise ended with calls for unity among party supporters and continued engagement with residents across Ilorin and other parts of Kwara Central.
