An All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain in Kwara State, Chief Rex Olawoye is dead.
Olawoye died after a brief illness at a private hospital in Ilorin, according to a family source.
Rumors started circulating on social media about his death in the early hours of Thursday.
However, close sources were quick to debunk the information, tagging it as false, adding that the politician was in critical condition.
The veteran politician, confirmed died Thursday afternoon, was a prominent figure in the 2019 Otoge movement in Kwara.
