APC chairmanship: Ilorin Emirate students organise ‘special prayer’ for Saliu Mustapha
Ilorin students under the aegis of Ilorin Emirate Student Union (IESU), National Headquarter, on Friday, held a special prayer for the emergence of a renowned philanthropist, Mall. Saliu Mustapha, as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mustapha, a former Deputy National Chairman of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), is one of the party chieftains seeking the chairmanship office.
The prayer was held at the Student Complex of the Kwara State College of Education in Ilorin, the state capital city.
Sheikh Ibrahim Kajola, the National President of the Student Union, while speaking during the prayer before Jummat, described Mustapha as a philanthropist who derived joy in helping those at the grassroots.
Kajola, who expressed the students’ support for the APC chieftain and the founder of a nonprofit organization Saliu Mustapha Foundation, added that he has contributed immensely to the growth of the Ilorin Emirate.
The students who listed Mustapha’s credible antecedents, prayed to God to grant the APC’s chairmanship ambition of the politician.
