A new project titled ‘Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre’ which is the follow-up to the popular movie, that won awards last year, ‘Anikulapo’, is coming soon.
This new project, ‘Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre‘ will be a series with four parts and will be available to watch on Netflix.
Sola Dada, who also wrote the original movie ‘Anikulapo‘, writes the series.
What to expect in ‘Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre’
The series will take you on a journey through time, exploring the idea of reincarnation and how souls might be connected across different lives.
More than 600 people, including actors and crew members, are involved in this project. Some of the characters from the original movie will return, and there will also be new additions like Adedimeji Lateef.
KAP Motion Pictures and Golden Effects Pictures collaborate on this project, which was first announced in October of last year.
This series follows the huge success of the original movie, called Anikulapo. It became the most-watched movie on Netflix worldwide, with over 8.7 million views in less than two weeks.
At the recent Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), Anikulapo was the big winner of the night. It won multiple awards, including Best Movie in Africa, Best Writer, and Best Soundtrack.
The story of Anikulapo is an epic tale about a young man searching for a better life. Along the way, he encounters a magical bird that can give him a second chance. The series stars actors like Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Sola Sobowale, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, and Taiwo Hassan.
