Akwa Ibom: Abductors of Apostle Okoriko reduce ransom to N30m
The kidnappers of the founder of Solid Rock Church in Akwa Ibom State, Apostle John Okoriko had demanded the sum of N30million as ransom for his safety.
The informant247 gathered that on Thursday in Uyo, the suspected kidnappers had initially requested the sum of one hundred million naira (N100m) for his safety.
The Informant247 reported that the suspected kidnappers have been using the phone number of the victim to pass information to the family since Wednesday.
It was also received that the family had informed the kidnappers that they could not afford the sum of N100million on Wednesday before they now decided to bring down the amount.
“This morning the man of God (Apostle Okoriko) called the family again and asked that his abductors are now looking for N30million ransom. But the family said they don’t have such money, they are still begging them”, a source said.
The source added that some stakeholders in the Church have however appealed to members to desist from all social media postings to assist security organs in collating necessary intelligence over the man’s abduction.
Remember that Apostle John Okoriko was abducted at about 5pm on Tuesday in his house situated in the church premises, Ibekwe Akpan Nya in Mkpat Enin local government area of Akwa Ibom State.
