Fire has consumed the popular Gamboru Market in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
Report has it that the fire destroyed goods and property valued at millions of Naira.
The incident started around around 2pm on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
The operatives of the fire service stormed the affected scene to rescue the situation.
This came days after fire razed the Monday market in Maiduguri, the capital of the state.
The market happens to be second largest market in the city after the burnt Monday market.
Reacting, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Abdu Umar, said security agents were also present to ensure normalcy.
He added that about 5 firefighting trucks were mobilised to the scene to rescue the situation.
Several traders tried to get some of their property out of the inferno, while others could not help but watch fire consume their property.
