A building of ten rooms has been gutted by fire in Alore area in Ilorin.
The cause of the fire outbreak, which occurred on Thursday morning, was attributed to spontaneous ignition.
The spokesperson for Kwara State Fire Service, Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, said the incident happened at 123, Gungunmi Compound, Alore Area of Ilorin, Kwara State.
He said the fire was put out by the Fire Service officials who, according to Hassan’s statement, displayed a high level of professionalism.
He added, “Out of the ten rooms in the affected building, only two rooms were burnt due to the promptness of the Brigade. And quickly, the raging inferno was totally extinguished by the firemen.”
Adekunle, meanwhile, quoted the Fire Service Boss, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, as advising the public to be more safety-conscious.
