Karim Adeyemi of Borussia Dortmund has revealed that a Nigerian staple, Fufu is the secret of this pacy form on the field of play.
Speaking after his lone goal saw his side defeated Chelsea in the first leg of their UEFA Champions league on Wednesday, the Nigerian -german born striker noted that the genetics from his father and a Nigerian staple are the booster for his pacy form.
When asked what food does he eat so well that makes him run fast on the pitch he said “I eat a lot of African foods but I have genetics from my dad so I think it’s a little bit for you to get fast”.
“It’s called fufu from Nigeria” he said when the Journalist asked which staple was it.
Adeyemi joined Dortmund for a fee reported to be €30 million at the beginning of the season immediately after the departure of
Erling Haaland to Manchester City.
The 21-year-old has now scored in each of his last three competitive appearances.
