Abuja-Kaduna train has crashed few days after it began operations.

It was gathered that the police command in the Federal Capital Territory police command has commenced investigation into the train crash. which happened in Kubwa area of Abuja.

The incident happened in Kubwa area of Abuja.

In the photos which have emerged on social media, it could be seen that the train had collided with a moving Toyota Camry.

The incident was reported to have cause the break down of the train for over 40 minutes.

The incident has been confirmed by the spokesperson of the FCT police command, Josephine Adeh.

Adeh said: “We are aware of the unfortunate incident of rail/motor fatal accident that happened at the Chikakore axis in the Kubwa area council of the FCT.

“Upon receipt of the information, police crime scene investigators attached to the Byazin Divisional Police Headquarters drifted swiftly to the scene, took charge of the situation, where the victim was confirmed dead by medical practitioners on the ground.

“Investigation has commenced by the railway division having jurisdiction over the track. Findings and safety tips already existing will soon be reiterated to ensure a non-repeat of such incidents.”

The Informant247 recalls that the FG announced the resumption of Abuja-Kaduna train operations 8 months after some terrorists launched an attack on the train and its passengers.

The terrorists kidnapped hundreds of passengers; some sustained various degrees of serious injuries while other passengers ran for their lives.
