Abuja-Kaduna rail resumes services, Monday
The Abuja-Kaduna train will begin operation on Monday, says the Nigeria Railway Corporation, NRC.
The NRC said the train service will resume activities with only two return services.
This was confirmed by the Managing Director of the Corporation, Fidel Okhiria, in a statement released to newsmen on Saturday.
According to the MD, the first train operation will move from Rigasa Train in Kaduna around 8:00 am to Abuja.
He said the Idu train station will move from Abuja, to Kaduna by 9:30 am.
The management of the Corporation has said that to strengthen the security, passengers are now expected to possess National Identity Number and original Boarding Ticket before they can enjoy the service of the train.
NRC added that the corporation would not allow anyone to obtain ticket on behalf of another person except for minors.
It disclosed that sales of ticket would begin, Sunday, December 4, 2022, around 8:00 am.
