Absence of prayers delaying rescue of kidnapped Oyo students, teachers, not Tinubu: Gospel Singer Adeyinka Alaseyori
Gospel singer, Yinka Alaseyori, says President Bola Ahmad Tinubu and security agents are working to secure the release of abducted Oyo school children and staff, but prayer is needed for their release.
“We all need prayers. You can’t blame one man that the lord placed in a leadership position,” she said.
In a recent viral video seen on Monday, Ade Yinka Alaseyori appealed to Nigerians not to be allowed to be subjected to politicking, adding that no one can say that President Ahmad Tinubu and the security forces are not working hard to secure the hostages’ release.
“So many people are saying the prayers they are praying are not working. But believe me, the prayers are working. Don’t let anybody use you for any political whatever,” Ms Alaseyori said.
The gospel singer added, “You cannot say that the president and vice president are not doing what they are supposed to do. They are working. Even the security personnel can be close to the location to rescue the abducted school children and be blinded by charms. That is the place of prayer.”
Ms Alaseyori, who often features in Lagos-sponsored events, said, “Don’t let anybody control you. Don’t let anybody use you for anything. But right now, let’s pray for Nigeria. All we have to do is to pray for our country. Every individual needs to pray for these children and their teachers. We all need prayers. You can’t be blaming one man that the lord placed in a position of a leader.”
Recall that the Informant247 reported that the 46 students and staff from Oriire LGA in Oyo have been held hostage by terrorists since May 15. Also, in a video footage released by the kidnappers, one of the kidnapped teachers, Michael Oyedokun, was seen beheaded amid the kidnappers’ demand for a ransom.
