The Kwara State Government has earmarked the sum of N200m for publicity in 2021.

This is according to the 2021 budget.

According to the appropriation law, N200m will be spent on “Publicity and Advertisement”, which sources suggest might include engagements with influencers, media practitioners, local broadcasters and public relations among others.

The N200m, which is included in the Government House’s expenditure which totaled over N3.3bn, will most likely be accessed by the office of the Chief Press Secretary.

Meanwhile, according to the budget, over N157m was spent on publicity and advertisement between January, 2020 and September 2020.

Also, the state ministry of communications, the state ministry of finance and planning, and the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service set aside N4m, N4.5m and N2.5m respectively for the same purpose.
