774,000 jobs: Festus Keyamo is a rascal, ignorant – Ifeanyi Ubah
Following the squabble which ensued between Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo and the Joint committee on Labour and Productivity over recruitment of 774,000 Nigerians by the Federal Government, senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Ifeanyi Ubah, on Tuesday ticked off the Minister, saying he was ignorant of lawmakers’ oversight duties.
The business mogul frowned at the standoff between the Joint Committee on Labour and Productivity and the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo on Monday.
He noted that Mr. Keyamo is not a “substantive Minister”, yet exhibited rascal tendencies, imagining the level of ignorance of how the legislature works as showcased by the labour minister.
While speaking with newsmen in Abuja, he said: “The legislature is empowered to check activities of the executive.
“Festus Keyamo is not even a substantive Minister. A rascal and he came here to display rascality.
“What will a Senator be doing with N20,000 or N30,000 if not for the interest of Nigerians”, he remarked.
