61st Independence Day: No Country On Earth Like Nigeria — Gbajabiamila
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has stated that there is no country on earth, urging citizens to be more united in order to build a country that meets the best expectations of all Nigerians.
Gbajabiamila disclosed this in a statement on Friday to celebrate Nigeria’s 61st Independence Anniversary, saying Nigeria is the only country we can call our own.
“As far as I am concerned, there is no country on earth like Nigeria, and I know every patriotic Nigerian hold this view,” he said.
The Speaker further reassured Nigerians that the 9th Assembly would always give the necessary legislative interventions to other arms of government to smoothen the task of governance.
“This is a reflection of how bad we’ve been treated. What we are agitating for today is an end to bad governance and insecurity and the betterment in the situation of the country,” he concluded.
