4-year-old girl drowns in Kano well

A four-year-old girl drowned inside a well, in Kofar Waika by Masallacin Karmawi, Kano.

This was revealed via a statement by the spokesperson of the Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, Tuesday in Kano.

Abdullahi revealed that the incident happened on Monday afternoon.

“We received an emergency call at about 02:05 p.m. from one Alkasim Ibrahim and we sent our rescue team to the scene at about 02:20p.m,” he said.

He said that the little girl though brought out of the well unconscious, later lost her life.

He said the corpse of the little girl has been sent to the ward head of Kofar Waika, Isma’ila Yusuf.

Abdullahi said the incident was under investigation.
