Member representing Ifelodun/Offa/,Oyin Federal constituency, Hon. Ismail Tijani, has claimed that he bought cars for the Kwara State APC Chairman, Sunday Fagbemi, and the party’s deputy chairman, Sanmori, alleging that they received no similar support from Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Tijani made the claim at a political gathering organised by The Otoge Progressives (TOP), as political realignments intensify in Kwara ahead of the 2027 elections.
The lawmaker said some of the party leaders who remain with AbdulRazaq were not necessarily happy with the governor but had reasons for staying with him.
“I bought car for Fagbemi, and Sanmori. Raman never gave them anything. None of them is happy with him, but they don’t have choice but have to stay because they need to sort bills,” Tijani said.
“I asked them to repair roads, the governor stopped it. I wanted to build ultra-modern hospital, they stopped it. I said I wanted pavilion, they stopped it. A lot of other projects,” he said.
He also accused the governor of turning against political allies who helped him secure the governorship in 2019.
“He betrayed everyone that once stood with him,” Mustapha said.
He urged voters not to be swayed by political inducements ahead of the 2027 elections, saying they should collect whatever politicians offer them but vote according to their conscience.
“They will give you money. Collect their money and do the right thing,” he said.
