2023: Police arrest PDP reps member, Igwe with $498,000 in Rivers
The police command in Rivers State has arrested a member of the House of Representatives, Chinyere Igwe, with the sum of $498,100 cash.
The Informant247 understands that Igwe is the lawmaker representing Port Harcourt II federal constituency who’s elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The arrest was confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko.
The spokesperson said the federal legislator was also caught with a list for the distribution of the money.
The Informant247 understands that the presidential election would take place in Nigeria, West Africa on Saturday February 25, 2023.
The leading candidates in the presidential election are Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC; Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP; Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP; Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP among other presidential candidates.
