2023: Media personality dumps APC for PDP in Kwara
Media personality Sulaiman Abdulwaheed has dumped the All Progressive Congress for the Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara state.
Sulaiman was until his resignation, the Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of the Elites Watch Media Group.
In a statement issued in Ilorin on Thursday, he said his resolution to resign membership of the APC become a necessity after his decision to take part in active politics ahead of the 2023 election.
Sulaiman fondly called Kwara Aiyekooto described PDP as a ‘party for everyone’.
He said the party is ready to take the mantle of leadership from the ineffective and ungrateful ruling APC in Kwara State.
Sulaiman further disclosed that he understands that his decision to further advance his career in the political sphere of Kwara State is a tough reality which is solely driven by the passion and quest for a new course in societal politics geared towards the principle of accountability and good governance to the people at all times.
He, however, noted that he is bold to say that his decision is not in any way self-serving but a call to uphold one of the tenets of sustainable democracy.
He gave assurance of his commitment to social responsibility as a Journalist which mandated him to stand by the people and make their voice count at all times.
