2023: APC doesn’t need your logistics support – Gov Umahi tells Gov Wike
Davi Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi State, has said that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) does not need logistics support from the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike but votes from him.
The Ebonyi Governor made this revelation while inaugurating the Akpabu-Itu-Omudiogha-Egbeda road in Emohua LGA in Rivers State, Tuesday.
The Informant247 recalls that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on Monday made a promise to give Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential flagbearer of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), logistics support for his presidential campaign in his state.
Wike had also made a promise to give Peter Obi, the presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP), necessary logistics support for his presidential campaign in his state.
However, the Governor of Ebonyi State has reaffirmed that the APC presidential flagbearer, Bola Tinubu, doesn’t need logistics support but votes from the Governor.
“Our votes in Ebonyi will go to APC, will go to Asiwaju.
“Your excellency, my party, APC, we don’t need logistics. We’ve seen the presidential candidates come here and you are a doer of promise. And when you say you’ll give logistics support, we know you will.
“But you see, APC, we don’t need logistics support; we need votes — just for the presidential one. I will not ask what is impossible. So, that presidential one, keep it for Asiwaju,” Umahi said.
