A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Chief Bode George has revealed why he did not lend his support to the candidacy of the presidential candidate of the party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 presidential election.
He said he worked against the presidential candidate of the party because the PDP did not acknowledge his zone/region in the top leadership positions of the party.
He said it’s difficult for him to campaign for a political platform that does not acknowledge his zone.
The Former Deputy National Chairman of the party made this revelation while granting a television interview.
He said “I told them before that if they do not rearrange the top echelon of the management of the party, I will not vote for Atiku, because you know what happened? …Where is my zone? If you don’t consider my people as that important to be part of the top echelon of your management… How do I campaign for you?
“If you don’t respect my people in politics, what am I doing there?”
