1,265,227 Adhoc workers to participate in 2023 general elections – INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says no fewer than 1,265,227 ad hoc workers will participate in the 2023 general elections.

Festus Okoye, the INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman of Information and Voter Education Committee, said that the adhoc workers were being trained to understand the requirements for the conduct of the elections.

Okoye, who spoke at a training on strategic communications for this year’s elections for the commission’s Heads of Information and Public Affairs in the various states of the federation, said that the commission was engaging critical and relevant stakeholders to assist in the conduct of a free and fair election.
