Yuletide: Commissioner charges kwarans on dirt free celebration

The Kwara State Commissioner for Environment and Forestry Otunba Taiwo Joseph has congratulated the Christian faithfuls on the celebration of the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ, stressing that if Nigerians should adhere strictly to the teachings, life and times of Jesus as their daily guide the Nation will be a better place for us all.

The birth, life and death of Jesus Christ is worthy of emulation, if we all religiously follow all these, we wouldn’t have cause to wail, lament and be positive, adding that Jesus is the perfector of all things.

He said “Jesus Christ thought us love for all hatred for none, this singular lesson is all that is required to make the world a better place where we all will live happily without tribulations.

“Sadly, that love have taking flight from our midst, and that account for the high rate of crime, selfishness etc. We must strive to bring back our lost love, if we all must fulfil the mandate of Christ as signified by his entire life” he stressed.

While wishing us a merry Xmas and prosperous new year in advance, I enjoin us all to have a dirt free celebration, we must do away with the old habit of littering the environment with dirt all in the name of celebration.

He said “Jesus Christ frowns seriously against dirt, that is why Cleanliness is next to Godliness, we must ensure we dispose off our waste properly at designated points” he emphasized
