Youth development, a huge task: Kwara govt

The process of developing the youths has been described as a huge task by the Kwara State Government, noting that it can only be achieved “when everyone comes together as a team”.

The State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mrs. Harriet Adenike Afolabi Oshatimehin stated this during a meeting at the ministry’s secretariat in Ilorin on Tuesday.

She described the creation of the state Ministry of Youth Development as a major stride that will lead to the advancement of the State, particularly the development of the youth.

The Commissioner noted that though the creation was sequel to the recent compartmentalisation of the erstwhile Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, the new development is an innovation strategy by Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq to open aggressive opportunities for the youth in the State.

Oshatimehin thanked the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for deeming it fit to have a Ministry that will be in charge of Youth Development
