Young lady raped, killed, dumped near bridge identified as 400L UNIJOS student

The young lady whose dead body was recovered at a car wash near Farin Gada Bridge, has been identified to be a 400-level student of University of Jos (UNIJOS).

The young lady has been identified as Ruth Yakadi.

The Informant247 has earlier reported that the dead body of a young lady was seen at a car wash near Farin Gada Bridge.

The remains of the lady was recovered on Sunday morning, December 11, 2022.

A user of Facebook, Bello Lukman, has revealed that the underwear of the victim has been drawn towards her legs, which suggests that she was possibly raped by her alleged killers.

A close source who spoke as an anonymous said the lady earlier had a disagreement with her lover who’s reported to be cultist.

The source said: “Tension mounted in the area as residents and students staged a protest against the killing of the lady but the protesters were resisted by security agents so that the situation does not escalate to crisis. It was alleged that the victim disagreed with her yet-to-be-identified boyfriend who is suspected to be a member of a cult group, he probably might have killed her and dumped the corpse, and hoodlums almost took advantage of the protest to attack people before security agents intervened.”

The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Alfred Alabo, confirmed the scenario but did not give detailed information.

“The incident is under investigation but I am yet to get full details. Once I get the signal, I will let you have the information,” he stated.

But, friends of the victim have posted on Facebook to seek justice for the victim.

“I can’t believe that you are gone sis. Your killers will never go unpunished, may soul rest in peace Ruth yakadi,” one Vicky wrote.
