You can have heart attack, I’m having fun – CBN Governor on resignation call

Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele has said that he’s having fun with the whole drama surrounding his 2023 presidential ambition.

The governor of the apex bank said this while addressing newsmen shortly after he had a close door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the country’s capital, on Thursday.

The Informant247 had reported that President Muhammadu Buhari had on Wednesday called for the resignation of political appointees in his cabinet pursuing 2023 presidential ambitions.

The CBN governor while reacting to the president’s call for his resignation, said: “There is no news now, but there will be news. You heard me, I said there is no news but there will be news.”

As regard the anxiousness of the people about his position, he said: “Let them have heart attack. It’s good to have heart attack. I am having a lot of fun.”
