Yahaya Seriki declares senatorial ambition as massive crowd welcomes him at Ilorin International Airport

The premises of the Ilorin International Airport was on Tuesday filled to the brim with jubilant crowd who thronged the airport to welcome a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress and Kwara Central Senatorial aspirant, AbdulFatai Yahaya Seriki-Gambari.

He was received at Airport by some prominent party members, politicians, among others.

A mammoth crowd also queued along major streets in the metropolis, giving him a rousing welcome as he move from the airport to the All Progressive Congress secretariat.

Speaking at the secretariat, Seriki declared his ambition to vie for the Kwara Central Senatorial District seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Seriki, who is also the CEO of Kursi group – a Nigerian mining company – pledged to provide better representation for the people

He explained that the reason for his always support to the vulnerable and through several philanthropic and Empowerment schemes was to raise their livelihood bar.

He also reiterated his determination to sponsor motions and bills that would enhance the reduction of poverty to its barest minimum when elected.

Seriki assured that he would strive to ensure sustainable empowerment by creating an environment that allows the people to continuously generate a source of income and livelihood.

He said, “I am committed to improving the lives of the Youth, women the elderly stressing the need for the inclusion of the youth and women in decision making towards a greater and cohesive constituency.”

Seriki, speaking on the importance of unity among APC members said, “Together we can build block by block, hamlet by hamlet, village by village, town by town, but only together.”

He further said his decision to run for this elected office is to deliver unmatched representation to his constituents.
